It is safe for horses and  non toxic, however we do recommend an allergy test to be extra careful.  Spray a small amount on the horses neck and wait 24 hours before applying liberally.  

Applying Repel Spray:
Use a spray bottle and turn nozzle to fine mist.
Start behind the ears and spray down the body under the belly and right down to the hooves, remembering the tail, as ticks climb up the tail and legs.  If a tick does try it will die before it bites .
Use a soft cloth and spray onto the cloth then wipe around the eyes nose and mouth.  Change cloth and wipe under the tail.

You can also spray  fly masks and rugs. First wash the mask and rug, wait for it to be thoroughly dry, spray liberally then wait again for it to be dry before using it.

This product will stay on the rug and mask  for  2 to 3 washes.

Horse should be sprayed before turnout in the morning and after grooming in the evening.  
The rule of thumb is 1litre per horse per month.
Can also be used around mangers, doors and buckets.

Once sprayed onto your horse, the solvent evaporates leaving a "residue" of active product which protects your horse against insect bites until it is washed, groomed or sweated off.
When applied correctly  insects will not be able to bite your horse.
