The Loose Ring allows for immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure. The bit is immediately reset to a neutral position in the horse's mouth.
The French Link is useful for horses that dislike the 'nutcracker' effect. The French Link figure 8 shaped lozenge rests vertically on the horse's tongue applying harsh pressure but reduces the direct pressure on the outside of the bars of the mouth.

The Cherry Rollers roll in the horses mouth giving him something to play with and reducing the likelihood of the bit being held in the horse's teeth.
